HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS – Hazen Paper Company took home four awards at the 33rd Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards in Nashville, TN. The Gold Leaf Awards, hosted by the Foil & Specialty Effects Association, recognize outstanding use of foil, holography, and specialty embellishment in print.
Hazen's 2026 winners:
Gold – Best Use of Embellished Poster (Client Promotion): Dave Matthews Band Tour Poster
Gold – Best Use of Holographics (Self Promotion): Hazen 2026 La Rosa Volcanica Calendar
Gold – Best Use of Transfer Metallized Substrate: Hazen 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Booklet
Silver – Best Use of Holographics: Hazen 2026 Super Bowl Stadium Edition Program
Each of these pieces reflects capabilities Hazen has built over decades: custom holographic origination done entirely in-house, and specialty substrates matched to the project. All four pieces were printed on Envirofoil®, our recyclable alternative to traditional foil laminate.
About the substrate
Hazen runs on hydropower from the Connecticut River, with over 85% of the power used to manufacture Envirofoil being carbon-free. Additionally, through the patented Envirofoil process, the carrier film can be re-used, and then 100% of the carrier film is recycled, meaning zero waste to the landfill! Envirofoil has been certified recyclable by Interseroh (Germany), Lucense (Italy), and Western Michigan University (USA).
